Installation of Fr. Jeffrey Hubbard

The Installation of Rev. Fr. Jeffrey Hubbard as the 19th Rector of Mariners' Church took place on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the church in downtown Detroit. Ray Oset and his wife Sandy, PGP Tom McMullen and Paul Jagenow, attended the service as representatives of the Detroit Lodge No. 7, ISMA. Lodge member Kathy McGraw was present in her official duties as Sexton of Mariners' Church. Lodge member Deacon Frank Bateman assisted the Bishop during the service. Members of Detroit Lodge No. 7 have had a long relationship with Mariners' Church, attending the Blessing of the Fleet in the Spring and Great Lakes Memorial Service in the Fall. Fr. Hubbard was installed as Rector by Most Rev. Ray R. Sutton, Presiding Bishop and Ordinary of the Diocese of Mid-America. Fr. Hubbard was presented and entrusted with the keys of the church, the Bible, the Book of Common Prayer and historical and legal documents by several Trustees of Mariners' Church. A reception in the Julia Anderson Room followed the service.
